Melanie Kidder, RYT 200, certified Yin instructor, will lead the yin yoga portion with her signature calm and grounding presence.

Stacey Saladin, certified sound healer and founder of In Your Element Wellness, will weave live sound throughout the experience to help deepen release and relaxation.

Let winter be your cue to slow down

As the world grows quieter and darker, our bodies crave the same—rest, reflection, and renewal. Deep Rest is a 90-minute yin yoga and sound bath experience designed to help you exhale fully before the rush of the holidays.

You’ll move gently through long-held, floor-based yin postures that release deep tension and restore energy flow, while the soothing tones of crystal singing bowls, chimes, and gongs create a cocoon of sound to calm the mind and nervous system.

To seal the experience, we’ll end with an extra-long savasana—a spacious, unhurried rest supported by a mini sound bath. Think of it as the exhale your whole system has been waiting for. It’s the perfect way to transition from movement into stillness… and from fall into winter.

You’ll leave feeling unrushed, restored, and more connected to yourself than when you walked in.

This evening is about…

Restoring flow.

Release physical and energetic stagnation that builds up through stress and busyness.

Replenishing your reserves.
Reconnect to the quieter rhythm your body is asking for this season—nourishing instead of depleting.

Embracing stillness.
Let sound and silence work together to help you reset before winter begins in full swing.

Why winter / why water?

In the rhythm of the seasons, winter corresponds to the water element—a time for stillness, introspection, and restoration. While the class won’t feel “technical,” the yin postures we’ll explore are thoughtfully chosen to support your body’s natural flow of energy through the kidneys and bladder—the organs connected to the water element. You don’t have to understand the science or the symbolism to feel the shift; your body will know exactly what to do.

What to expect...

Yoga mats, blankets, and props will be provided. Bring water or your own mat if you prefer.
